The Psychology of the Hidden Self -  5-6 November 2011

Hidden Self

"Who are you?"

That's a question we have been asking ourselves for millenia, and our modern age is no different. While we have plenty of new technology we still - each of us - need to answer this old question.

In many ways, we have more to contend with than our ancestors. The Self can be buried deep under layers of social programming, hopes, dreams and fear. Sometimes, it can even be difficult to know the boundaries of who you are - where 'you' end and the world outside you begins.

And so the Authentic Self is hidden.

Who are you right now? And how is that different from who you were last week or last month? Add the inevitable changes into the mix and it's not an inconsequential question. This is a factor of awareness - and this seemingly gradual change is rarely something we notice consciously.

This awareness leads to the biggest secrets of all - the biggest gaps in awareness are on the inside. To truly avoid standing still in a rapidly moving world, this is vital hidden knowledge.

This knowledge has more value the earlier in life we find it. And some people never get around to it at all because it is hidden behind fear.

"The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek." - Joseph Campbell

This is why awareness and all of its aspects are the first thing to learn and enrich - and it's why I take the time to give special awareness to the flow of the seasons, among other things. And awareness is just the beginning of discovering your Hidden Self.

Within these two days, I will take you on a journey of self-discovery - a journey that starts now and will last a lifetime.

I will be teaching the Psychology of the Hidden Self to a small group of open-minded individuals on 5-6 November 2011.

ABOUT NLP

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) models the science and art of human thinking and behaviour, giving us a knowledge base that makes rapid and effective change possible.

NLP was originally created through modeling the language, behaviour and thought processes of outstanding individuals who consistently displayed excellence in their areas of expertise.

That process produced the patterns of excellence which form the foundation of NLP.
